Ok, I go to set my device control options and go to sony.. then the list.. low and behold, no 250 there. Is there any way to capture my model using premier pro? I know the camera can be controlled because the software that came with it can capture but it sucks. captures at small sizes.

The Digital8 Sony DCR-TRV250 is a fairly new model in the low end bracket of Sony. -- perhaps your Adobe Premier software was assembled way before this camcorder came on the market.

Have you look at Adobe upgrades ? -- !
