my xbox doesnt have rrod. i wanna do the x clamp fix because i wanna change the stock thermal grease with as5 and not use the x clamps. but ive seen some vids where you gotta overheat your xbox until 2 red lights appear after doing the fix. do i really have to do dat?

As your xbox solder is not broken (its still working), then you can just do the xclamp fix without doing the reflow part.

Your xbox, I don't believe, will ever get hot enough to "reflow" itself. Alot of people allow the processor to heat up because they want the board to be warm so that straightening the board back up will not cause so much stress on remaining solder joints that have not come loose or crack or whatever.
