hoping someone can help,
im trying to stream my hi def movies i have on my computer to my ps3 using playstation media server,
i can pick up the connection, cycle through my files and play the films without any stuttering!
problem arises with the sound ,there is either no sound or a loud hissing noise.
now i have tried various different things ,
streamingmkvon the fly streaming m2ts on the fly
but just keep getting the same results.
i can play .avi files fine, no probs.
I use TVersity ad stream everything you can imagine from a PC to PS3, PSP, Xbox 360 etc ad its works well. If you want hassle free, use that application on your PC. It's free but I'd give a donation because its that good.
I use both PSMS & TVersity but as of late I have been sticking with TVersity because of stability. I like PSMS because of some of the options it has over TVersity but at the cost of dealing with a hassle when the app just fails and I have to run to my PC to enable it again...90% of the time I use TVersity because it is simple and works for the vast majority of what I need it for ultimately.
