Samsung has launched the i8520 Beam smartphone today, featuring Android 2.1, a projector, Bada user interface, and TouchWiz 3.0 for widgets. this is the one i will likely get if it goes to verizon or maybe the iphone if it goes to verizon as my blackberry doesnt have the options i want and need plus a 16 gb memory is much better than my 1 gig

I wonder how much of a power hog that little projector is...even if they did the impossible and made it 100% efficient, it would still take a lot of power for a quality or large image.

lol, 6 ansi lumens??? That would be almost impossible to see unless it is pitch black and even then it would be almost invisible.

lol, 6 ansi lumens??? That would be almost impossible to see unless it is pitch black and even then it would be almost invisible.
Actualy, they don't even claim 6 ANSI lumens, only "6 lumens" That might be peak lumens, meaning that it is more like 1-2 ANSI lumens...and a lumen is about as much light as a typical candle makes.

That's true. Most manufacturers use ANSI lumens measurement now, but they didn't specify, so it probably is lumens. The measurement would also be taken from a new bulb.
