I was given a banned 360, I'm unsure of what drive I have and what firmware is flashed onto it. I've been able to play a number of games, though I came across my first to not work today, Modern Warfare 2. I don't really know much about "wave patching", but I believe I read that it's not a safe practice for people worried about bannings. If someone like myself isn't worried about being banned, is wave patching a viable way to deal with newer games that won't run on my firmware?

I have the activate ISO burned, but currently my Eject button isn't working (broken). Until I get a new one, I don't believe I can swap discs as I need to using that method, which is why I'm asking if wave patching will allow me to play something like MW2.

Well I went ahead and wave patched them to see if it would allow me to play. I wasted two discs but now I did it properly and it works. =)
