Alright, so I'm trying to flash my Hitachi 79 drive but I'm running across a few problems and I'm at a loss for how to go about fixing them, so if anyone could guide me here I'd GREATLY appreciate it!
I'm connecting my drive to my pc through SATA and using the 360 to power the drive
PROBLEMS:
1. I run Slax 2.1 to get the drive in mode B, which it does, but I never get "spinning up disk..." (Not sure if that's a problem or not)
2. The computer recognizes the drive as drive E, I take care of the 79 unlock successfully, but when I use Firmware Toolbox 4.8 and click "Dump RAW firmware as" my mouse freezes for a good while and eventually the save box comes up. I type in a small name and click save, but then an error box comes up saying "can't read from drive" and then my 360 drive won't open at all and I'm forced to shut it off.
3. I also tried flashing through Jungle Flasher, however it never even got so far as to recognize the drive. No matter what it'd say No Drive Detected on the far right on all tabs.
Those are the problems I'm confronting. You may also want to know that I have put the up-to-date firmware in both programs. Again, I'd REALLY appreciate any help I could get.

Knowledge from Leerage? -- Priceless
this is what i do make sure u put i/o output then send to mode b,with audio cd in and click play really quick, sometimes it takes a while to pick up but depends what pc you have
Also, when I try to select VIA ports only under the DVDkey 32 tab it says "No VIA ports were found". So if you guys have any other ideas in regards to either Jungle Flasher or FWT 4.8 let me know.
Thank you for the suggestions btw!! Much appreciated!
