Ok. So I recently had this virus on my computer along with about 500 other virus's. When I finally got rid of them all I tried opening some of my programs and nothing will open. A part of the registry for the .exe files must have been taken off with the virus because anything that ends in .exe just opens a new window that says "Open with" is there any way to fix it? Iv tried 2 or 3 "registry edits" that was supposed to fix it but still not working. Any help fixing this much appreciated.

that was a malware not a virus. have you tried a system restore to before that problem?

yes but the rouge program would not allow me to do a system restore. When I finally got it off I found the the owner of the computer had not setup a restore point.

ok I finally got the registry fixed and the programs open now but I installed avira antivirus and super-antispyware. But when I try to update anything nothing will update it says make sure the firewall isnt blocking it. Iv tried turning it off and still nothing. The only thing that will update is avira. I have tried adaware, super antispyware, malwarebytes but nothing will connect to update except avira. I have to clue why any help?

yeah the internet works fine now. Just cant update any of my antispyware or antivirus now the only thing I did new was install avira and fixed windows defender

This is an easy fix all you need to do is...
1.Download Malewarebytes from another computer to a flash drive.
2.Boot cpu in safe mode w/ networking.
3.install malwarebytes then update and launch from your flash drive to your CPU.
4.Do a full scan when your done quarentine the files.
