Had an old clone starview box for over 3 years so got my money's worth, never flashed it (too technical for me) just updated the codes received from the net. Looks like my area has gone off today, kids are gutted, disney cahnnels were constantly on the two boxes.
What are the options for watching subscriptions channels or even premium channels, is it just to pay up now because i can't afford that!
Is there a satellite dish option or is it just keep fingers crossed that some time in future the codes are cracked?

In short, you will be paying up, with either a sub from them or if you go the sat and CS way, you will pay for your "share", there are a load of posts on sharing etc.

thanks for the post mickah, when i read it the 1st time i did not even know what cs meant!
i have looked around this and other sites and my word i know what it means now, you and some of the other addicts know your stuff, sounds great but it is unbelievably complex, i'll be keeping my fingers crossed that years down the line someone will crack n3
i'll get the playing cards and board games out for the kids !

the thing is fintannl, to a lot of people the terminology on these threads is double dutch, once someone is shown something fair enough, problem is i do not know anyone who card shares in my area

Sorry, but Mickah is spot on. I thought you had a different type of box. The older starview models are coming to end of life. Sorry I can't help. However do feel free to browse other threads and see what your alternatives are

There is another way but it's IKS and also cannot be spoken about here.
Please, please, please use the search box at top right of site before asking a question that has already been answered.

mooley, your an awful man. would u not say that iks sounds astoundingly like cs. had to have a look after your references to it but it looks like a new way to do the same thing, valid sub required etc... :-)
