hello all i am jtagging a falcon 360 and keep getting problems with the dumps.
they open ok in flash tool and degraded also shows no errors but the best ive had in total commander is 544 differences.
i've remade my lpt wire with single solid core cable and it tests good, checked my soldering which also seems good, also extracted my kv from all images and still even in the kv get 544 differences.
the falcon has no onboard memmory so im typing

nandpro lpt: -r16 nand.bin

i assume this is correct.
also to open in degraded i have to edit the 2004-2007 to be 2004-2005 at offset 0012

the only other box i have jtag 'd was a xenon and it read fine on the machine im reading this nand on.

do different boxes prefer different machines?

sorry for the long post any help appreciated

thanks

Did you get any errors in the cmd window while dumping? Something like error: 200 reading block xxx. I would just keep dumping the nand until I got 2 that matched, some people had to dump their's like 8 times before they got a good one!

i'm all for it xbl games on a handset. i can finally play something else besides solitaire while taking a dump now... AND get achievements at it!!!

Thanks for the replies.my cable 30cm long all the resistors show between 98 and 100. Ohms so with the single cables at 0.5mm diameter I can't see that being a prob but thanks for the idea.as for keep dumping I get no errors in total commander but when I compare them that's where the differences show.500 of them is the best so far.I will make a batch file and do 10 dumps and compare them.thanks again I will post how I get on.

If you are getting 500 or so differences, dumping more times isn't going to help.

Ive done falcons before and never had this problem. Would recomment heating up your solder point on both your 25 pin d sub & your xbox to reflow the solder, making sure you have a decent join.
