I understand this may have been talked about many times and yes, I have done a search. I understand the benq drive will rip with the ssv2 files and Kreon will only do the ssv1. So my main question is if I never plan on playing online with my xbox do I need the ssv2 files? Will the game play and look the same with the ssv2 files vs the ssv1 files? Thanks for your time and hopefully I won't be flamed to bad. But I can't find this answer while searching.

Thank you so much. One last question...within the stick thread there is no step by step or even mention of any software to rip the 360 games. It only shows how to burn the dvds or flash the dvd drives. Or is there a thread you could point me too? Or a certain program/programs that work with the Kreon Drive. I'll keep searching aswell. Thanks again.

EDIT: Looks like I finally found a guide that was posted a year ago. Thanks again!

For the same amount of money you might as well get a BenQ. You will be ripping it properly and for the *possibility* of online play in the future.

I thought about the BenQ but I don't want to open the xbox to connect the power supply up to it and also, I have no need to connect to Live since I only play online with my PS3. Also, the fact I won't buy a wireless adaptor for the Xbox since its downstaires on my HDTV. Maybe in the future I'll just buy another and won't have to worry about getting banned but for right now I'll just do this. Thanks for the input though.

EDIT: After reading your step by step on flashing jungle I noticed you put in "DVD connectivity kit" would this kit work with the BenQ?[url=http://www.diygadget.com/xbox-360-connectivity-kit-v3-and-usb-solderless-lite-on-dvd-key-extractor-combo.html[/url]If I went this route I would be saving $10 bucks if I flashed the drive myself.

Yes. That kit will power the BenQ.

After reading everything I could online I completely understand that the BenQ method and the CKV3 kit is the best option for ripping games and for online play. But, lets just for my sake I just wanna play offline and never wanna get online with my console and games..is the Kreon better for me? I can go the BenQ way and get everything and even get the PCI sata for my PC but by doing this method I only understand that its for people that want to get on Live and reduce the risk of getting banned. I'm very new to this and I just want the best and simple way to rip/burn my games. So, as far as right now my thinking is I can buy an IDE Samsung drive and have no wires hanging around or go the BenQ way and have the Drive connected to the CKV3/powersupply then computer. The only reason I may be leaning toward the BenQ is if its somewhat future proof so when games like Alan Wake and Splinter Cell come out I can rip them but honestly if the Samsung with Kreon can do that then I may just go the easy way and later on set up the BenQ way if/when I need too. I know this is a lot for one post and I'm sorry for that. Any input would be great. Hopefully this will be my last post on this matter I really don't like wasting any ones time on my not understanding.
