Compared to 2008, buyers of music downloads through the Internet actually deceased in 2009 by about one million people. The figures come from the NPD Group, but Russ Crupnick, an NPD senior industry analyst, believes there is no reason for the music industry to panic about the declining digital music customers. do you think the labels forcing apple and amazon to increase prices might have something to do with this ?

How are they even coming up with these statistics I think they should show how the come to these conclusions so they can at least be a little convincing.

A track at 99 cents was a good price for me. Now tracks are starting to go up to 1.23 unless you buy the album which is obviously the better deal than picking out the songs you want.

iTunes went up, but not Amazon with regards to INDEPENDENT non-RIAA music, especially what I mostly buy, house and trance. So I'm happy to continue buying from Amazon.

Price has always been a key factor on how much you sell. If they lowered their prices they would sell more. Instead the raise prices and pretend not to understand why they lost business.
