Question about new Benq Drive

Im looking to buy a new Benq drive off of ebay and I have a question. It will come with no key, so how can i get a key? Should I find someone with a Benq drive and try to get their key to use or can i grab a key from a lite on drive and use that? Im going to hook it up in my computer to backup my originals. Any advise would be nice..

If you are replacing your drive with this BenQ you need your key from your existing drive.

No, im not replacing this drive with another xbox, im putting it into my computer to use. I guess my question is what key from what drives can i flash it with, i wanna put ixtreme 1.61 on it with 0800 so i can rip originals..

As per the text file included with the ixtreme 1.61 0800 firmware:

"This firmware is =NOT FOR USE IN A CONSOLE= and is provided with the intended use of being in a dedicated "ripping" drive."

This means: Does not need your DVD key

Yeah, my bad. Got to typing to quickly and didn't read thoroughly.

Ebxtreme is correct. If you are using it to make backups, you don't need your key.
