Cinema chain Odeon has announced that it reversed its decision to boycott the 3D theatrical release of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. The chain is concerned that the decision to release Alice in Wonderland on DVD just 12 weeks after the theatrical release will set a new benchmark. What will be the time frame from when Avatar was released till it's comming out on DVD / Blu-ray ? Is it closer to the usual 17 week mark ? If not it sounds like that's the goal. To catch as many sales from the hype of the movie in the theater and have that move over into DVD / Blu-ray sales.
