growing fast -how fast? and porting the games isnt quite the same as more and more new third party publishers enter into the apps arena..they have more than alot of catching up to do..

that i agree, but i guess they wont get anywhere till they can get the basic apps on other system here first, then their own good apps.
they have an insane ammount of catch up to do, but the actuall OS is the best around bar none, IMO. the multitasking and synergy aspects make it delectable, as does the palm prfile and the homebrew community, which unlike apple, palm fully embraces.
as for rate of apps, its increace by about 20% per month, okay fair enough its about 1.5k apps, but at a 20% per month increace, it will be alot more soon. then again, does one need 100k fart apps? :P okay that was a cheap jab, and yes there are some very crap apps on webos aswell, but the homebrew apps are insanely good aswell.
i agree on the whole though, that app wise its inferior to the iphone/ipod ecosystem, but its trying hard to catch up, and it has a MUCH better OS to do it on. that and palm has updated this now 10 times in the 8 months its been on the market, which shows their commitment, and that with only 1000 employees

That was no cheap jab, that the truth...Just because they have sheer numbers of useless crap that adds up to millions of apps, like Cow Toss,Hold the Button or FlickABooger...that doesn't make it better. Any time, anywhere homebrew, free source is supported, that's gonna be a winner.
Final Fantasy 1...really? Is that suppose to get someone super excited? You can play a game that was popular way before you were born, but you cannot decently browse an internet page because it doesn't support something as simple as flash...that's great, I'm glad it makes your arm pits sweaty from so much excitement,a quarter of a century old game.

Exactly...why would one be excited about a device that doesn't support flash or craps out under multitasking, but it can play 20 years old games?

I am still curious as to why Apple has not yet developed a gamepad for the iphone or itouch. I think you would see sales definitely rise if this was the case...having onboard controls is such a hassle!
