I am planning on modding a benq xbox 360 within a few days... Got a few questions about it. 1, is this drive brickable? 2, is this drive more difficult to mod than a toshiba samsung? I have modded an xbox 360 before (ts) but never a benq so lookn for a little advice before I attempt to mod it. thanks for the help.

in my opinion it is the easiest drive to mod, it literally takes 2 minutes in Jungle Flasher. Just follow a tut if your unsure of yourself TRY THIS ONE BY CLICKING HERE

these are the best drives to flash and use,simple connect drive
go to benq unlock,will go to vendor mode,get key,get firmware spoof,and write whala!

I am modding a benq with ix 1.61. does disc tray have to be open?

If the drive is already flashed with ixtreme you can go into JF and click the intro button. Turn off the xbox, click yes to resend then turn on the xbox and it'll immediately go into vendor mode.

it has never been modded before. so wat do I need to do to get it in vendor mode?

oh my mistake, 1.61 is the old version since LT just came out for the benq. If it's unflashed just use the benq unlock button like infam0us described.

so what's so special about LT? What wave games will it play and can I go thru the same steps to mod it?

LT will play all waves since it removes stealth checking. It is basically the closest firmware to stock so it's the safest for play on xbox live. You flash it exactly the same as the other versions too (though they've released a new JF for benq LT, not sure what it does...probably just "would you like to auto-load LT" after you read).

ok just d/ both new jungleflasher and benq lt.. gonna try this out... hope this thing works...

thanks I modded my 1st benq drive. I use the LT. works great! I like it a lot better than ix 1.61 don't have to worry bout waves. only problem I had was playing my copy or army of two that I patched to wave 3.

I got a box for bootleg, and one to run online wit plus a spare.... but wen u get banned wat exactly dey do besides ban the actual console?

They come to your house, kick the door in, take your 1st born son, and set your car on fire. But since you're opt_prime, you can easily trade the AllSpark to get your console unbanned.
Seriously though, when they ban the console, all they do is stop the console from accessing Live, nothing more nothing less. Everything else works.

They also corrupt your gamer profile, corrupt your game saves, make you lose some of your achievements, and disable hard drive installs.
