hi ive read some posts on this especially from scouse but im lost and need help i have starview box working fine until message you have a invalid box so i done a factory reset and now nothing just a blue screen
ive read on here it maybe a update or something but im lost to what to do i live in uk any help pleeeeeeeeaaaaaaase is my box no good now or can i do anythink to get it back total novice and know nothing about the box

Menu(Installation)---OK---Automatic scan---OK
Make sure you use correct sym.rate for your area, 6887 or 6952.
When channels are found;
Menu(installation)---1570----Turn keycode ON.
Exit back out to screen, wait for channel to update.

hi thanks for reply but i cant get into menu the lcd has no display on the box power is going in because the red light is on at back

hi i bought through a friend of a friend everyhting was done on the box when i bought it how do i put everything back on the box please

you cant, the box is bricked, the firmware looks like it bricked it, you will just have to contact them and advise them what happend,

contacted the person they aint interested in doing anything for me
ive checked with a friend who bought of the same person and there syst info says
model c500

either way mate its bricked, if its a clone not a lot ya can do, as there is no clone safe firmware for these boxs, V1.12 was brought out to fix a glitch in the firmware for genuine boxs as the firmware was killing gen boxs, if your box had the 8882 on the panel, there is a jtag to fix this, but as yours is goosed completely then, as far as I know there is no fix as the bootloader needs to be working to jtag it,

thanks for your help mate its def not a clone there is no heat stick or whatever it is and it has 25 grids on the top

np, but like I said, with the bootloader dead there is no way to fix it, looks like you had a genuine box which was killed by the firmware, I would advise your mate to put V1.12 on his if its a gen box or his will suffer the same fate.
