Ok, so, I've been going at this for 6 hours.

I'm using Win7 64, with a via 6421a.

I've tried it all, I've tried jungleflasher, dosflash, iprep, in vendor mode, deleted drivers, installed drivers, signed drivers, It just doesn't work.

Jungleflasher sees the drive, but If I press the BenQ unlock button, it says the command returned an error, if I click on read, it tells me that there is an invalid status 0x51.

If I click on intro, it tells me the MVK intro failed, it also says this if I use dosflash or iprep, I put it in vendor mode, and it fails.

I don't know what else to do, did I miss something?

Dosflash64 says there is no flash chip to read.

What's my next recurse?

Is it a stock or flashed BenQ?

Have you followed the Step By Step guide HERE?

It is a stock BenQ

The Jungle Flash Device Properties say:

PLDS DG16D2S

but it has white cables in the hole, instead of yellow, I did do the tutorial, last things I can think of, is using another computer, or that this is a Lite-On.

BenQ do have white cables, Lite on have yellow. PLDS DG16D2S = Lite On, So id guess you have a Lite On drive not a BenQ.

Also, Take a look Here, there are other reporting white wires with Lite On's

To advise you further, take out your DVD drive and let us know the Firmware Rev. number from the top of the drive.

Firmware is 74850C

Do I really need extra hardware to get this going?

Defo a Lite On then. You will need a probe, you can make yourself one quite easy. There is a guide in the Ultimate sticky at the top of the forum

Ok, will the USBExtractor work?

Or should I get the regular one?

And do I need the power adapter, or can I power from the Xbox?

As long as you have a COM port, you will be fine with the regular one. I would recommend making one yourself though as you will be able to make it for less than a fiver!

Also, you can power from your 360 drive although its debatable if this will "flag" you for a ban.

Thanks, my main issue is, I'm in the Dominican Republic, and RadioShack here doesn't stock anything useful, So I'll just order the probe thing.

Which is the cheapest probe? The USB one is about $25, I don't want to spend that on something I'll use once.

Ok, I made a probe, and I switched to a computer with a DV9 connector, I'm running Win7 32, and a VIA card, now, it's telling me it can't find any COM ports, it detects the drive, but I can't do anything, anyone got a fix for this?

Well, I figured out the comport problem, turns out it was disabled in BIOS, now I'm getting the bad serial data error, I just can't have things easy.

I too am trying to work with a lite on I previously thought was a benq. I am running windows7 64bit as well. All I am trying to do is retrieve the key from the lite on to use in a new ms28 that I intend to flash. I am unsure of what connectivity kit to buy to retrieve the key as easily and least expensive as possible. Could anyone tell me if the ck3 lite and ck3 probe is indeed what I should use and kindly point me to some tuts to help me out? I was looking at the blaster ck3 but it says software does not support 64bit os. If anyone could please help I wouldbe forever grateful. The lite on drive is burned out and I have a brand new ms28 I just need the key off the lite on.
