does anyone know if a dreambox 500c will work with a mmds aerial?.....and if not is there anything i can do to get it workin with it. thanks.

As far as I know, no. You need a DM500-T and you have a DM500-c. You can buy a replacement terrestrial tuner though for that model and just replace the cable tuner.

Sorry to say but the tuner is soldered to the main board so it is not possible to change a tuner module in a dm500. it is possible in later models of dreambox but not the dm500

Depends what you mean by mmds
ON chorus mmds (6875) a Dream 500-T will work until Nagra 3
On NTL mmds (6887) a dream 500-C did work until Nagra 3 switch-over.
The 500-C will work if you hook up to internet & can find a server for
cable c/s

not only is it hard to find a c/s cable server, its even hard to read the nagra card. its not just boxkey, but also rsakey required. and from what i've read trying to get that info is no mean feat

The CAM is more important than the image.
D.K.1.1 is better image,but it easier to install CCcam to PLI-JADE
image.Easier still if you find image with CCcam already installed.
I'm sure some senior member will point you in right direction.

unless you have a method or reading rsakey and boxkey from system i think you will find that your request is not the easiest thing to do. if you do have both rsakey and boxkey the read this thread

hi every one
Just an other newbie I was using eurovox ex1000sl till last week. now I have lost most of good channels bec of N3 launch. I have Heard about this dream box could any one tell me how it works and which one I should buy and where? I like my films and late night channels haha.
