I have been patching my iso's to wave 3 and running them fine with no problems. I recently had a box flashed with iXtreme LT firmware and I occasionally get the "open tray" message. Some games will not even boot that have been patched to wave 3. Do I have to patch them back to wave 4 for them to work correctly with this firmware? Is there a new abgx360 program that will return them to the original wave if i dont know what it was? Also, do i have to patch them to sv2 or whatever just to get them to play? or is that simply to attempt to evade a ban?
LT does not check for stealth, the premise is that the user knows enough about backups to ensure a valid copy. I never "back stealth" any title to avoid the possibility of detection. My recommendation is to stop this practice.
Not sure about reverting an image to original stealth, the concept seems reasonable.
Right now it is always wise to use backups that contain SSv2 data.
Thanks for the reply, so basically.. it doesnt matter what wave my game is patched to, the new LT firmware should read it right? And if it doesn't, it could possibly be a dirty or faulty laser? Like I sait, it plays originals, but the backup games are hit n miss, not sure if it's a wave thing or dirty laser, or faulty media. (verbs)
Sorry seecolon, Let me try put it in an easier way.
The "Waves" as we call it are only different because some of the video partition changes each time microsoft put an update on the disc. they had to make different waves to accomodate the newer bigger updates.
LT doesnt check for what "Wave" it is anymore unlike previous firmwares. It simply finds where it is on the disc and continues reading them.
Any "Wave" disc will work in LT and future Wave discs will work no matter what. Unless microsoft release a Blu-ray drive for the xbox pleasefixme << (you like it?) which won't and probably never happen.
