I have been flashing 360s consoles only for a short time now so I'm not really sure about all the different firmwares for each 360 drives. I myself have a phillips lite-on with the latest LT firmware so Im not use to the activate ISO. I just flashed a samsung ms25 with Ixtreme 1.61 and made a boot disc for a friend. He called me today saying the boot disc didnt work for Dante's Inferno which is wave 6. I know the game works b/c I was the one who d/l and patched it myself, testing it on my console be4 handing him the game. SO my qestion is...DOes Samsung Activate ISO only boot certain waves? Best bet is to flash it to 1.61. That way, you'd avoid having to use the boot disc.
instead of using the activation disc you could just get the pfi and video files for wave 3 and change the wave of the game iso, from whatever it is to wave 3, through abgx. you can get those two files here:
1- Select the ISO thats Wave 4
2- On autofix select :
Level 3
Adjust angle 359 for ixtreme 1.4
Fix C/R table if data invalid
Adjust angles that deviate more than 3 degrees from their ccrt
3-In Misc select youre region and on splitdvd "add it if it doesnt exist or isnt valid"
4-Save this settings as default, just to keep this wave 4 settings ,
now lets start patching
5-This step has to be done everytime we select a wave 4 ISO:
_Patch even if steath passes
_Patch even if these files are invalid
_Patch video and select the video.iso
_Patch PFI and select the PFI.bin
YOU HAVE TO SELECT THE ARCHIVES THAT COMES INCLUDED ON THE RAR ARCHIVE YOU'VE JUST DOWNLOAD
6-Now press Launch, here it will start patching the game, when it's finished check it again with abgx without any patching
7- Now we have an ISO thats 100 % WAVE3 that works on firmware's 1.51 and 1.6 without the need of a new firmware.
after you complete the patch to wave 3 check again with abgx and you should see this image telling that everything's ready for Ixtreme 1.51 or higher
This won't get you banned. i do it for every game i burn and everything plays fine. no banning. i even play games early, just disconnected from internet.

And this will get you banned, it is common knowledge that if you wave patch games then you are lining yourself up for a console ban.
All the big names in the scene will tell you this.

Yeah, I hear from a lot of ppl thats a big no.no so I just reflashed the drive with the latest 1.61 Ixtreme. Made things a lot easier for everyone. Thanks
