So I decided to flash a stock Benq Drive VAD6038 using Jungleflasher but now I can't play originals or backups (I get the Play DVD at the dashboard).

Now I know I followed the video tutorials to a tee and it says that the sucessful in flashing but still a no go (I even did a outro to the drive thinking it was stuck in Vendor Mode).

One thing I did notice that when spoofing the key it says it already matches:

Here is what I get when I try to spoof to target (ID strings already match):

Loading firmware file C:\Users\Home\Desktop\JungleFlasher v0.1.71 Beta (98)\firmware\BENQ-OFW.bin
MD5 hash: fa4f33a59611343887768679a55a77a5
Inquiry string found
Identify string found
Drive key @ 0xC040 F93611815142ED2F8bbbbbbbbbbbbb (not the real key I edited this in notepad)
Firmware Osig: [PBDS VAD6038-64930C ]
Firmware is: Stock

Spoofing Target
DVD Key copied to target
ID strings already match

I'm wondering if I somehow overwrote my original bin and if so is there a way I can recovery it.

I have no issues with JF detecting the drive, doing a Benq unlock, intro, read, erase, write, or performing a outro.

Thanks.

did you backup your OFW? can you paste the entire log? Play DVD means you don't have your firmware set properly unless the laser is junk. Do retail games play? Hit intro, load 1.6.1 in bottom of firmwaretool box. Hit spoof, hit write, the outro. These are by far the "cake" of all drives to flash.

This is from two different drives so I don't think it's the laser. No retail games don't play. When I clicked read it saved the original F/W.

I have no issue loading the source and target F/W but I get this message:

Spoofing Target
DVD Key copied to target
ID strings already match

and then I click Write.

You don't have a drive key. Reload your OFW and 1.6.1 and make sure you hit spoof. Then re-flash and you're all set.

It's not spoofed it's flashing a key of all 7's (unless you edited that part).
