Hi. I have a Wii console from the US but am using it in the Middle East. I soft-modded it about a year ago and am running on firmware 4.0U. If I will upgrade the firmware to 4.2, what will I need to do? I heard that firmware updates are region-specific, so I'm a bit concerned about which region to get, US or Middle-East. Will I be able to soft-mod if I update through the official Wii updater through the internet? Right now on the 4.0U, I am running HBC and Configurable USB loader without any problems.
