Changing Xbox 360 DVD Drive **question**

I have a samsung drive installed on my xbox 360 from manufacturer which has been flashed. It is no longer working at the moment so i was thinking of changing it with another. is it possible to install a hitachi drive on my xbox 360 or does it have to be same samsung dvd drive?

Whats wrong with the drive? They tend to sometimes stick closed and you have to put he elastic band thing in some boiling water to fix.

Take apart your drive (only the top 4 screws), remove the black elastic band, pop in a cup of boiling water for 30 seconds, dry band and replace in drive, fix everything back together and voila, job done.

Has happened to me a few times and this fix hasn't failed yet.
