Installing games to Xbox hard drive via PC

Hello. My Xbox has recently been showing signs of the typical drive death. Beginning to have problems reading games frequently, I can't even install Bayonetta to the hard drive itself. I was wondering if there is any possible way for me to backup a game to an iso on my PC, then attach the Xbox hard drive to my PC as well, and copy over the game?

I read about the iso2god program and tried it, but no luck (I made an ISO out of my game disc, converted, and placed it on the hard drive, it only shows up as corrupted). My Xbox is not hard moded in any way (JTAG)

I have the disc, I made a backup iso, and obviously still have the disc as it's required to boot.

Is there anything I can do? (Short of installing a new drive of course)

No there is no way of doing this with out a JTAG xbox. As far as your drive goes you can to do a pot calibration on the laser, there are plenty of tuts here just do a little search. If that doesn't work I would suggest just buying a new drive.
