Hi guys, somebody help me, I am frustrated now. Iam new to the sat things, I bought starview 5, loaded a software (DO NOT KNOW IF IT IS RIGHT ONE. iT LOADED ON the box,but after that i pressed 1570 but nothing shows. what i am doing wrong. Is it the software or what? somebody help.

you need to switch keycode to on ,for 1570 to work press menu ,while on installation type 1570 on your remote (do not press ok) you should atleast have some free channels working ,hopefully switching key code will open the rest.

tanx 4 ur reply, you mean while the box is in the process of installing the software, i should then press menu, i shouldnt wait 4 it finish installing.

you said in your first post that you loaded the software (what did you load?) if you flashed the box you would have flashed it via the usb port at the rear of the box .the keycode is a section in the menu that is called keycode and there is an option on/off which you set yourself (it needs to be set to on) you mention satellite if im not wrong that box is for cable.

Sorry 2 b a pain lads but I've got a similar prob just got starview 5, downloaded new firmware every channel is there,but can't turn on emu I've done all the above, 1570 etc but just can't get into secret menu plus can't find this key code to turn on, any advice would be most welcome cheers lads

try highlighting language and then type 1570.
