Hi Guys
I?m relatively new to all this but was just wondering if you kind people at afterdawn could help me out. i have recently flashed one of my Xbox with ixtreme 1.51 and am now able to back up and play all MY Owned Xbox 360 Backups.
I also have an elite (not modded in any way) just for going online and playing left4dead 2 with my mates as i don?t want to get banned.
(We are always looking for more talent to help us fight the horde by the way, gameid= ewok1986)
Here lies my problem i have a 120 gig hard drive with the elite and would love to be able to swap it between the two so i dont have to shell out for another hard drive.
Would i get banned if i used the hard drive between the two?? can they detect saved games that have come from a backup?
Any help would be awesome. Let me know if need to explain anything clearer.

It means that you posted in the wrong forum, so creaky moved it for you.
In regards to your original post, you will be fine swapping them round but if you get banned on your modded xbox all you saves n stuff will show as corrupt.

You posted in the xbox thread, not the xbox 360 thread. He moved it to the correct one, so people are more likely to help you. I personally dont think that swapping the hard drives around will get you banned. I have done it with mine ( i have one xbox for online, another flashed) however I am not an expert on this in the slightest.

hi thanks for explaining.
i dont intend to go on live on the modded xbox just the elite thats why i was worried about swapping it over as one of them will be on line. another related query then...
can i install backed up games on to the hard drive so the modded xbox dosent have to read it while im playing as it is a old 2005 xbox and GOD does it make a racket.

I'm not 100% on this, but i think so. You need the disk anyway, so I cant see m$ locking it.
One thing to note is that M$ have done Profile bans before, so it is possible your gamertag might be banned. Defo not the unmodded xbox though.

had to post this here as could not find anything via internet search!
hope we can keep this open as would like some more 100% answers if anyone knows. im going to give it a go anyway and cross fingers that i dont screw up the elite.

I have a similar question. I have a modded 360 that has been banned. Can I use the hard drive from the modded, banned 360 on a new (unmodded) console? I'd like to use it for XBox live games and saves and for non-copied game saves. If I use the old hard drive (it does have saves and such from pirated games), does anyone know if M$ can detect the pirated saves and if they can then ban my new console and/or gamertag? I just don't want my new console to get banned.

You shouldn't see a console ban, you may experience a gamer tag ban though if you are seen laying games early and such.

I do the swap between a modded and a legit 360. I just have to make sure I don't connect the hard drive to the legit if I played a game early. I'd hate to get my account banned.
