So, my problem is that i want to download the Perfect Dark 64 Remake through Xbox Live, but i'm banned. So, i wanted to take my HDD and connect it to my friend's original console, and purchase the game with some Microsoft points i had left on my account, and then take the HDD to my banned console, and play it.

Do anyone know if this is possible??? Thanks in advance!!!

To do that you will have to format your hard drive before you can put it on his xbox to download it. If you put your hard drive on since its been crippled your profile will just be corrupt and you wont be able to use it. Once you get it you will have to do the license transfer thing which I think requires you to be connected to xbox live, and to play most arcade games now you have to be signed into xbox live so in short, no.

Why bump it when someone's already answered? You can't do it because the game is tied to the console it was downloaded on (as well as your gamertag), so when you move the hard drive back to your own console, you would need to be signed into Live with the gamertag that downloaded the game in order to play it, and the console is banned, so you can't do that.

You can't do a license transfer to a banned console either, but even if you could it would transfer licenses over for all of the content your mate had downloaded on his console, which I doubt he'd be too happy about!

The only way to play it is with a JTAG'd console.
