ok i have been a reader of this forum for years. usually i can find what i needed by searching the forum. Maybe i am just not typing the correct terms in the search. I have two i am guessing is easy questions.

My main question is: Can you get updates through Live with a un-banned modded system and not get banned? i am guessing there is always a risk of getting banned, but when it is doing a game update, not system update is the risk the same, or is this safe? i have a 1.51 hitachi, and am thinking about getting my BenQ done so i have LT.

On to my second question: Is 1.51 hitachi safe from bans from the older games? i see the other drives have 1.61 or LT, and i get a little worried with a 1.51. Has it not been updated because of no need, or because it is harder? if i am playing a game i am usually playing it offline. i don't use live for playing games as of yet. i am playing mostly games that have been out for 6 months or more. i have tested some of the newer games while not being connected to live.

And last question: I stream movies through my xbox 360 with Tversity. The codec pack is on my 360, but do i have to be connected to live to play these movies? i seem to get a error when i am not connected. just seeing is anyone has the same problem.
