Hello

This is my first time posting but I will mention I have read countless tutorials but I am unable to find someone with a similar problem to mine, or at least a fix.

I have just replaced the drive of my 360 as the old one was giving a "please insert disk error" after some more research it appeared there was a fix for this, not sure how reliable it was but none the less I currently have two drives. A new Benq flashed with Ixtreme LT and the old Benq with Ixtreme 1.6 0800 version.

I am using the 0800 drive to try and back up one of my 360 games using xbox backup creator, my issue is during the back up process the 360 just shuts its self down, I have the drive hooked up via sata to the motherboard works perfectly as I used it to flash the drive and I use the 360 to power the drive, after about 10 minutes the console just turns off, however I do not have this issue when using the LT drive.

I have tried plugging in a hdmi cable into the console (not plugged into a tv though) to keep the power on but it was unsuccesful. Any solutions besides buying a CK3 chip?

Cheers

Do you have A/V cables plugged in the back of the 360? If not, the 360 will shut off. You don't need to plug into a TV, but either hook up standard A/V, or Composite Cables(if applicable), and that should take care of your problems.

I tried using a HDMI but not the composite AV cabling, would that solve the issue? Cheers
