Swapping Cases

So here's the situation. My friend has the Halo 3 xbox 360(green and metallic orange). It has the 3ROD. I know how to fix it and have done it 3 times. He said that if I can fix it, he'll let me make it and give him mine. My question is, can I swap the cases between his xbox and my arcade xbox? Both have the HDMI port. I want to keep my internals because of the internal memory unit and the safe haven of never getting the 3ROD.

Yeah you should be able to do that no problems if your arcade has the hdmi port. I picked up an elite on craigslist that was red ringed and swapped the black casing onto my arcade. Took all of 10 minutes to do.....

i was just thinking that there's something different between the two other than the color and the memory unit

The answers provided weren't very nice, but they are true. Why would swapping a piece of plastic change anything? I don't think you really thought your question through before posting it.
If you want a serious answer, here it is. Go ahead and swap it, nothing will happen, it's just plastic.
Next time I would think a little more carefully though.
