Would this USB to Sata work for flashing?

Hi everybody I need some help again!
I have this little thingy that i would use to flash my Drive.
Before I do anything crazy I wanted to ask if you think it would work:


(Yep, it comes from a USB 2.5'' HDD Enclosure, This HDD was dead so i ripped that off!It was many times usefull! :p )

Also would it work if I flashed my drive with an eSata to Sata cable?
