Hey all,
I've done my first jtagged xbox, all gone well, managed to recover my drive key I was requiring with the help of someone from here (thanks again!).
I've booted with the drive open button, but I'm not sure its working right ... pic here to show the final steps before it does nothing else.
Is this right or should it load something else? If this isn't right have I done anything wrong? Not too sure as this being my first. I've read lots and hopefully have done it right. I know it's definitely working as I've dumped a live game on the drive and that is running fine.
Thanks,
HJ

If I'm not mistaken, you want to get XBR going on your system right. What you need to do now is to download XBR for your motherboard (Xenon,Falcon, etc.). This is very important that you get the right image. Then in that rar file that you download there will be a readme that tells you how to go about installing XBR and that's where the fun begins. I must admit that there is a slight learning curve but once you get the hang of it, its smooth sailing.

+1, you have only flashed XELL.bin to your nand, you will need the correct XBRv3 for your motherboard.
EDIT: I notice that you say you have started your xbox with the eject button. If you try with the power button, does it go to the xbox dash (As xell is included with XBR)

I did install XBReboot, when I boot normally it boots to the xbox dash, I've checked and it is the hacked dash ... everything is working as it should be, got backups working on external disk and internal drive, live content working after being dumped straight on the drive so all seems good. Xexloader is working fine too, took me a little time to get it in the right location. It was just xell loader I was curious about, is that all it should do?
One query, does FTP work with the standard dashboard or do I need to boot into xell (eject button)?
Thanks for your assistance guys, much appreciated.

FTP doesnt work in either Xell or the XBR dash, you need to install a new dash (such as XEXmenu)

Hyperjase, XeXMenu is the successor to XeXLoader.

Ok thanks for the info, will start using xexmenu rather than xexloader, I'm actually loving the learning curve on this, I'd like to know all there is to know on this.
On the subject, if you flashed a nand which WASN'T compatible (CB was 1940 on a xenon board) what would it do? Would it load nothing? Crash and RROD? Just curious as I've tried one out of curiosity but it seemingly did nothing. Currently flashing back the original nand image now and remove the jtag connections.
Cheers guys,
HJ
