HD63 or HD 67 Lens?

I'm not sure if there is more than one model of Hitachi drives in the Xbox 360. So do I really need to open and check under the my current dying laser? If it helps, it's a 360 from back in 2006. Manufacture date was on 6-6-06 (I'm not kidding).

all hitachi versions use the same laser so you're fine. usually you can find them on ebay for around 9 bucks. you'll need a soldering iron to remove the anti-static point though.

yes. if you look on ebay, when they say hd63 it says 67 compatible and vise versa.
