1. have you more than 2 dvd drives???, if so select the other in xbc
2. are the dvd drives flashed with either kreon or 0800 firmware...your dvd drives will not read 360 game disks if the dvd drives do not have the above firmware...
1 i select the 360 drive and it has 0800 firmware on it
i was missing around with JungleFlasher and my computer froze on me so i had to hit the reset button the when the computer came up it did a scan disk then when windows came up i open Xbox Backup Creator it read the disk then i took the disk out of the drive a put a differt one in and it did not read that one so i put the disk that it did read and now it want read that one
ok, lets see if this correct...
You have flashed your 360 dvd with 0800 firmware and connecting it to the pc's sata i/f using power from either the 360 itself or using a connectivity kit.
If the above is correct then you are in for a world of hurt my friend...reason being...in order to play the rip, you need to reflash with lt firmware and re-assemble the console, doing this everytime you wanted to rip a 360 disk or is the 360 drive from a 360 that's now a doorstop and you have purchased another??
I would suggest you buy a samsung d162x drive and flash with kreon firmware or a compatible liteon and flash with 0800 and use these drives to rip the game disks...
If the above is not the case i suspect cabling (unlikely)or your system config. Does the system see the drive on boot??
If so, remove from the OS (via system manager, assumption windowz) then re-scan your hardware.
Remember, if using latest version of jf (recommend you do) you no longer need the portio driver, so remove it and delete its file.
