Does anyone know it you can flash the drive with a USB to SATA cable because i was thinking of buying this, but wasn't sure if it would work http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/USB-TO-IDE-SATA-S-...=item41490704e5 . If it won't does anyone know how to do it with this laptop, Acer Aspire 7530, it has an express card/54 on the side, what would i need.

I think they make a Via Chipset PCMCIA card that works?

I actually ordered one offline and it was a waste of money...This of course was before I fully understood how to flash an 360 drive. Only drive that works with USB to Sata is Benq I believe or maybe it was Hitachi. Either way its pointless of buying unless you just want to use the extra parts like the sata cord and external power adaptor that comes with it ^_^...Came in handy after I ordered a brand new Maximus USB Xtractor.

I have flashed a HITACHI xbox 360 with my stock laptop HP G60. I used only a Sata to Esata cable, with a USB to Esata ADAPTER. It worked for the Hitachi but, I cant get to to work for the Liteon drive. For the Hitachi I disabled digital signature enforcement in the bios. I disabled raid host controller as well. I used Slax 2.0 to put the drive in mode b and it pick up the Hitachi drive quick. I then used Jungle Flasher with Ixtreme 1.5 firmware for Hitachi drive
