I'm getting tired of talking to people who think that the XBOX can be emulated on the PSP.
I have my resources for hacks, and to my current knowledge, the PS3 has NOT been hacked in order to play backups. Why are people swearing on their lives that it's possible?
Not people on the internet, but people at work, and in public, they get upset at me when I tell them they're wrong, are they?
i was in a cafe the other day and a guy that sells illegal cd/dvd came in, when he reached close to the waitress, the waitress order him Tekken6 for PS3,he said to her "ok"
Here is the conversation, that i had with her when i called her to pay.
sdf: excuse me but did you order T6 for PS3 from him?
WT: yes i did isnt a great game??
sdf: have you played any copied game to PS3?
wt: no just got it.
sdf: Who told u that it is possible?
wt: a friend.
sdf: does he have a PS3?
wt: no
...and the conversation continued but i dont think that in the end she believed me that it isnt possible to play copied games.
i dont know really why they refuse it, i have my 60gb PS3 more than 3years, and i talk with people that they dont own a PS3 or they never owned a playstation at all and some dont even have any tech knowledge at all, and they insist that it is possible to play copied games to PS3 and as you said they get upset..... i really dont know.
i stopped long ago to debate about this with people cause it is pointless.
I think at the moment, people are convinced the PS3 is fully hacked, because they have read that Geohotz of jailbreak fame "hacked" it, they dont have the knowledge that its only a tiny step.
So its probably like Chinese whispers, some guy says "did you here geohotz got level 1 access" and ends up being "did you here that iPhone guy hacked the PS3 and we can play pirate games now".
Hehe...it is always good for a laugh...and once it finally is broken, it will take the authorities forever to find the posts...with all the fake ones clogging up the works.
