I have a CECHG01 that when a disc is loaded lights up the blue indicator on the front of the system and has the rotating icon in the upper right hand corner. However it does not load the disc. I have taken it apart and found that not light (red or blue) was being emitted from the laser nor does it spin but you can hear the laser try to focus three times and quit. Can anyone tell me weather it's the laser or the logic board that's bad? Thanks!

i have same problem u hear it trying to work but no lights or spin.
i did change the laser an it booted up game once and stop working again so im gonna try 1 more laser and if that dont work try an fix it another way

Use processes of elimination start by testing the simple stuff like, the fuses (continuity test), output voltage (for red and blue), at this point it it does not sound like like it is a logic chip.
