I have multiple quicktime movies that I have taken with a digital camera and then imported on my computer. I have movie editing software but I cannot import the quicktime movies to the software. Do I have to change the file type to a mpeg, avi, etc.? What software do I need and where can I download it? Also, will I have any problem burning the poject to a dvd-r? Please help. Thanks.

TMPGEnc v2.521.58.169

Quicktime Reader plug-in for TMPGEnc

m2v VFAPI plugin for TMPGEnc v0.6.47

This second plugin is not needed for Quicktime but might be come in handy for other encoding.
Or
MOV2AVI GUI

Or
If you have Quicktime Pro, it can export to formats such as AVI, MPEG-4 and DV Stream.

What zipped files are you referring to? The Quicktime Reader plug-in for TMPGEnc?

Extract the QTReader.vfp to your TMPGEnc folder.

veblin, glad to know there are cheaper alternatives out there to transcode MOV to to a more useable format. I use Vegas Video which ain't cheap.
