ok i posted this on the wrong forum. So, here i go again. i am new to the 360 all together. I had thought I had read somewhere that the 360 could read and play media files from a back up drive or maybe flash drive. Is this so? If it is then i am missing something because it will not read my maxtor backup drive pics from my phone or files on a flash.
Thanks in advance.
The 360 plays music and video files, not pictures. Flash drives work just fine, the link you posted is a new feature that will allow things like game saves and such to be saved to a flash drive which currently cannot be done.
ok well what i had was not a flash drive like i said, it was. It was and sd card in a usb holder. But, my maxtor usb storage device should it not recognize it? It does not and when i called XBOX they were no help. so how do i know if i am hooking the usb drive right? I would assume, since options are limited, that i am doing it right. I see the grey 'd out usb drive (i think that is what it says) but does not see it. More help please??
well back again. i found a hp usb external nfst/fat32 reformatting software. But, its been awhile since i worked with fat 32. Is there a volume limit it is wanting pratition around 130gb .... this is a maxtor 500gb one touch
partitioned 500gb to a 138gb via fat32 loaded movies (quite a few), and it still does recognize my drive am i supposed to access it at another part of the dash?
