Hi, ive been playing backups for a while now with no problems, the only problem i have is that i use activate.iso to use on the new games! for some reason trying to play 'Just cause 2' 'Final fantasy 13' 'lips i love the 80's' all i seem to get is 'Open Tray' only on one occasion just cause and fantasy worked! ive tryed modding the ISO to make it wave 3 and still nothing... only seems to be on the new new games! any suggestions?
I had my firmware modded by someone i dont know very well so was unable to get the info on what is it flashed with....

iwould download abgx 360 and check all your games with it if you get anything that says wave 4 5 or 6 you may need to update ur dvd drives firmware to ixtreme 1.61 depending on your drive also ou should update ur firmware because activate.iso makes getting banned a whole lot easier!

Thanks for the reply, i will download this 'abgx 360' and let you know the out come, my drive is a benq i think, looked on the net and mine is like a half circle no cut out bits like the samsung. Would i require ixtreme 1.61? too late for not getting banned i already am! so does this process make it easier?

just done this check, and it says one lips i love the 80's ' PFI matches know data (4th wave ect' so should this work with the activation disc i have? at the moment it dont! :-(

I would update to new firmware that could be the issue your having with it. also post the log of the ABGX output. where it says CLI put the drop down to TEXT and save it then post her for us to see.... We will tell you why and maybe how to fix it.

your stealth is bad so ixtreme wont boot it
for wave 4 games and higher you need to do this:
download wave 3 4 5 6 patches from here link
i recommend downloading one at a time
open abgx 360 and press ctrl +f
click yes and the folder that opens will be where you need to paste the files you downloaded
the reason for this is that the video patches for waves 4 5 6 are to big to include in a program update so you have to download them separately
when you check lips again it should patch everything for no problem but post your cli window again so i can look at it though

you also may still need to use the activation disc as i dont know what firmware youre drive has
be careful running wave 5 games as these dont run well with older ixtreme versions
ALSO DO NOT RUN ANY WAVE 6 GAMES UNTIL YOU KNOW WHAT FIRMWARE YOU HAVE A WAVE 6 GAME ON OUTDATED FIRMWARE GIVES YOU A 99.99% CHANCE OF GETTING BANNED WHETHER YOU PLAY ON LIVE OR NOT AND DEFINITELY DO NOT USE ACTIVATION DISC WITH WAVE 6 EITHER

also since your drive is already flashed your warranty is gone so you can take your 360 apart to tell what drive you have and that will at lest help us a little in telling you what firmware your drive is runnin if you need help with this post back and i will walk you through it

yes the firmware is most likely your problem but you still need to download the wave 4 5 6 video patches or the games will not boot and will most likely get you caught

i am already banned on xbox live, pushed my luck too much! but for some reason today all the games have worked first time, i get the occasional open tray on the activation disc. what do you mean wave 4 5 6 patches?

these patches fix the video partition on the game so that abgx360 can find the correct stealth files so you dont get banned
if you ever put your game in lets say a dvd player, you get the message that says "please insert into xbox console" this is a video partition. mostly put there because its the easiest way for microsoft to check if your game is legit these are changed by microsoft alot which is how you get wave 1 2 3 etc. your xbox will log every game even when not on live and when you go back on live it sends the info to microsoft if everything checks out, youre fine, but when it doesnt thats how you get banned
mods to game data are also really easy ways to get banned

and if youre already banned then your firmware is definitely out of date because the newest version will not boot discs that are done incorrectly yours does

what a bugger! i have no idea what is on there at the moment, the shop is only down the road from me i think they charge £20 to update! ummmm how often do they change firmware?
i dont think its how i burn the discs cus they are working at the moment, i need new firmware grrrrr

updates arent very frequent they mostly come out whenever a new wave is made by microsoft
and since youre banned the way you burn discs doesnt really matter unless you dont want to have to use the activation disc anymore

i would like to get rid of the activation disc as that some times gives me the most problems with reading that! most times it says 'open tray' i dont get how all of sudden its started to work again? ummmmm.....

the activation disc basically bypasses all the security checks your firmware tries to do and lets you play the disc anyway so it can mess you up when you have a bad disc
so if you want get rid of the activation disc completely you need your firmware up to date and all your games have to be done correctly and checked with abgx360 as it will fix most problems automatically

Well thats easier! so from now on if i scan with the standard settings in abg360 before i burn this will fix problems? so soon as a scan is done i just go ahead and burn? do i need to look out for anything?

when checking games you need to look for anything in yellow or red like i said abgx will fix most of these but you still need to watch out
make sure you use the cli window and not text when checking
also what program do u use to burn your discs

i have heard the xbox struggling to read! making some odd noises!? and i have had a few mid game read errors! so is this layerbreak for every game i burn from now on?
