Well...I am just wondering which game will update your dashboard to series 8? BTW, I have never been online or xbox live, so is it possible to update to dashboard 8955 and so on?
One of the guys that modded my console claimed that I have a series 8xxx because he got the 0022 error after he jtagged my console. I doubt about his skills.
But what games I played during the entire year of 2009 were Tekken 6, Street Fighter IV and Need for speed: Shift...And the guitar adventure game. I just didn't check my dashboard before I sent mine in and he(the guy who modded) didn't check it either.
Unless one of these games update my dashboard, basically my dashboard is 7xxxx.
I have never been on xbox live and never get any online account. SO no update through live and this is 100% guarantee.
So what I would like to make sure is if any of the game above does contain a dashboard update.
That guy is lying to you. If it were a non-jtagable console, flashing the nand with xbr would result in e79. Even if he really didn't check the dash before doing the jtag ( only a complete idiot wouldn't bother to check) there are tools that you use to verify that the console can have xbr installed. It would take him 2 seconds to check the nand dump.
Even more, if he wasn't lying (which he is) all he would have to do is simply write the original dump back to the nand.
Quote: Uh, I don't mean to alarm you, but has your 360 ever thrown the 3rrod before? I did the jtag completely, but I never booted it before the jtag. It's throwing a 0022 error, which is the same similar to E74 (GPU error). I can fix it, I'm just wondering if this has ever happened to you before.
Basically, I never really get any 3rrod because my chip is falcon. Assuming if the falcon chip would produce 3rrod, which is hardly the case, this will be impossible because I hardly touch my falcon xbox. If I do play, I play only 2 hours MAX.

I believe what bhetrick was correct...he could have dumped the nand and checked it.
Sorry, I was just replying to the question about which games where played on the system and what they did. Bhetrick is correct.
Any game, Wave 4 and up, will contain the new dash. You will be forced to apply the update. If you don't, you can't play the game.
