How to Bypass 3.21 Firmware Update

Hello this is my first tutorial.
For those of you who do not wish to update there ps3 "fat models"
There is a old work around that is mainly simple to use. What ever firmware you use or are using this is reported to work.
Here on Afterdawn we do not condone to piracy and how you choose to use this exploit is entirely up to you.

INSTRUCTIONS
Run the LG5tool.exe
click on the firmware update box so its checked
then click start proxy it will show you ur ip a address
go to ps3 and click network settings
click on internet connection settings
click on the custom method
click wireless or wired (what ever you are using)
#wireless only: click scan
#select your wireless connection (ssid)
# confirm your ssid(network name)
#select your security settings and fill out ur password and user-name
click automatic for "ip address settings"
click do not set for "DHCP hst name"
click automatic for "dns settings"
click auto matic for "mtu"
click use for "proxy server"
type in your ip address that shows in LG5tool it'll be something like "192.168.x.xxx" (the x are numbers that are different for every one for example mine is 192.168.1.101)
click enable for "upnp"
then test your connection
Sign In then unchecked firmware update box and Sign in
NOTES
The tool must be left running on CPU to function.
After setup Run tool just before PS3 start-up for auto-sign in.

i'm not going too be playing online we should be able too choose if we want an os on are ps3's or not ps3 is now telling me too update too 3.30 ffs sony no more updates unless there is something usefull in them

I really liked Sony Products until they pulled this crap; they have lost a customer for the foreseeable future because of the theft. I won't say forever but I returned the new PSP I received for my B'Day and got an iTouch. The name just leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I have moved much of my Sony equipment to the garage for the time being. I've replaced my surround sound, my blue ray player, my walkman MP3, several point and shoot cameras. I'm haveing a f'Sony Yardsale in a few weeks. I like mu PS3 but will probably sell it on ebay for 750 or so and upgrade my PC.

what about this loosing of the os installing? anyone know how this may effect in the future?

Yes, it is just another attack on the consumer. Actions like this are slowly making us the servants of our governments and corporations...organizations that were meant to be controlled by the consumers.
The future?
-You will have to play a "public performance" royalty every time you listen to a song on headphones, as you are a member of the public. You will also be required to pay a "private performance" royalty, as no one else can hear the music. If you play it so that others can hear it, you are required to pay both royalties for everyone that heard it, even a little, plus a processing fee to pay for all the work required to accept all these fees. Also, doing ANY of these things without prior written consent from the IP holder will be punishable by 50 years on a chain gang.
-Devices will be sold with thousands of great features. The features will not be available at launch, and they will be removed before they are ever available. Thus, all devices will claim to do everything, and will in fact never do anything.
-If playing a game with friends at your house, you will have to purchase an additional license for each player.
-Linux & Android will be outlawed (except for government agencies). It will be controlled the same way they control guns and drugs...you have to have a special tax stamp to own linux, and they won't make any of these stamps. Microsoft will control all PCs, Adobe Unix will be on all the servers, and iPhone OS 25 will be on all phones (oh, and it still won't support the "Full Web" that it was advertised as having at the launch of the first iPhone).
-Every April 15, you will be required to pay a male prostitute to dress up as uncle sam and f**k you up the a*s...just to make sure you get the complete feeling of tax day.
-You will be required to pay a maintanance fee on all software to cover the cost of bug fixes. Use of the software without maintanance will be considered piracy. If no updates are released, it will be assumed that the software includes all the needed bug fixes, and failure to pay the maintanance fees will be considered piracy. In the event that there are serious problems that are never patched, you will still be required to pay the maintanance fees, as clearly the company that makes the product sees no problems...otherwise they would fix them.
-You are not allowed to skip commercials on recorded programming. You are not allowed to go to the bathroom during the commercials on live programming. Doing either is piracy. Also, you may not turn off your TV, as you are always receiving service (even when the TV is off, there is still a signal). These services are paid for by commercials, and failure to watch the commercials is piracy. On top of that, all TVs have inbeded webcams so that advertisers may monitor your reactions...blocking this webcam is piracy, even if done by accident.

If you play online, it is worth it...and you can always join one of the many more class action suits that are about to pop up.
