Hey guys, I just used Sicdude's download link (thanks man!!), and update my banned console to the new Spring dash, but now my avatar is just showing up as a silhouette... I'm sure I'm not the only one to have experienced this so far...
I've read that a reboot will fix this, but haven't had any luck with that yet...
Just use the avatar update again, when i applied the update on LIVE yesterday it updated twice, maybe thats what you need to do.
Update with the april update first then re-update with the avatar update ;)
Whats the "avatar update"?? Is that update part of/included with the original file you posted? Do I just insert the USB again, and reboot, or do I have to download more (system update) files?
Could this be an update only available if connected to LIVE? Maybe the trade-off is you get HDD functionality back, but no longer get to use an avatar?
Hey Sicdude... I downloaded your file/link that you posted, but when I put it in my xbox, it doesn't update, it just boots to the (already updated) dashboard... but i still don't have my avatar?
I was reading through your other post, and you left a post saying "link to new update WITH avatar support" but didn't see a link?
not to mention the link that you left here had many different files in it... do I have to use one specific file? or do I go about updating a different way now that its already (partially) updated? is there a way I can try again - by that i mean remove the update, and start over with a new update file that contains the avatar support?
The only thing i can suggest is try playing different games, e.g. wave 3,4,5 or 6 and see if any of them prompt you to update, maybe this will get your avatars back on.

nope... tried playing dante's inferno, and it didn't do anything except play the game... didn't ask for another update or anything...
I still have another 360 that I keep in my living room that is LIVE safe - its a benq modded with LT 1.1, but I haven't updated it yet, was keeping it offline for a little while to ensure that this update didn't cause any bans... so its still at 8955.. is there anyway I could use this system to update my banned console? or is there a way to remove this new update, and try again?
I know its not a HUGE deal... I've got my HDD functionality back, which is WAAAAY more important then my avatar, but i just hate seeing the silhoutte there.. not my cool dude!
