iso extracting noob help

Ok so i've managed to create an iso from my backup xbox 360 game. I want to extract this to my external hard drive to play with a jtagged 360. I cant seem to extract it only burn it to dvd which I dont want to do.

what are you using to extract the ISO ?

c xbox tool. ive realised i havent created the correct iso. It keeps telling me it doesnt appear to be an xiso. How do I create an xiso from a back up, not from files on my pc?

if you have the game on disc what I would do is use imgburner to rip the disc into an ISO and then use Xbox Backup Creator (XBC) to extract the iso into directory format, it is under ISO tools i think

how do i extract it using xbc looked under iso tools and cant see an option.

under IMAGE TOOLS click image browser
a window will pop up, go to file, open image file and then navigate to the iso file
once it opens the iso you will see all the directories and files in the ISO
on the left right click on the very top folder and hit extract

I allways delete the system update folder once the iso is extracted

in image browser it just comes up saying 'reached the end of the file' retry or cancel and doesnt show anything :(
