I recently flashed my xbox with ixtreme 1.6.

Here's the problem. Only installed games seem to work without problems.

If I dont install a game, it works from the disc for about a couple of hours, after which, it starts freezing. I've tried everything from clearing the cache to using better ventilation. I'm having this problem with FIFA 09, Eternal Sonata and GTA IV. If I install any of these they seem to work fine. So I'm guessing the problem is with the lens?? I'm using verbatims burnt with imgburn at 4x.

Help out please.

EDIT: The same thing happens even with the original disc of FIFA 09. :( Are sony DL discs better than verbs?

You shouldn't burn at 4x speed.
They ask you to burn it on 2x speed or else your disc will skip.

That thread says burn it at 4x. I'm confused. =/

And there are scratches whenever there's extensive play.
