I dont know if this is the correct forum for this.
I have the box super usb and also connected on a splitter my original Samsung v*rg*n box, I pay for broadband & phone & get basic tv free.
My question is someone (who is going back to s*y) has offered me their v*rg*n+ box with hdd etc, would it work on my cable connection or are they somehow locked to a particular user.
Thanks for any help.

isn't that the truth. had a call some time back from a customer rep looking for the box back. they are Virgins property and once the contract is terminated Virgin have every right to request their property back

I didn't want to start a new thread so i hope you don't mind me jumping on this one lads.

My set up is identical to the author of this thread ,but my problem is this. I have my original box upstairs and the other day i lost loads of my channels. My screen was reporting an error 1043 ,if i remember correctly. I contacted base and they said they would sort it from their end and they did , 10 mins later i had all my channels back. A week later and my original box is now jammed on ld20 and despite all the usuall checks ,i am getting nothing . I phoned them again about 15 mins ago and they have booked an engineer for me next week. Should i have any concerns ?? Thanks ....

concerns about what? if you have a subbed box and your paying for it, whats the question? if you have a chipped box, yes i would worry and get it out of sight before an engineer sees it and secondly if your in a N3 area, thats gonna go off pretty soon

Thanks for that mate , i was wondering the other day why i had not received new card , as they have been fairly well advertised but i guessed it was connected to the n3 thing.
Cheers for your thoughts ......
