This is usually an E74. I get nothing on the screen. I would assume a E79 flashes on the screen? Booted perfect before I flashed the nand. Any tips?

Check your wiring and make sure the diodes are facing the proper direction

Flash xell.bin and see if it boot, if its doesnt its prolly your wiring. You could also take a new dump of your nand and compare with what you flashed to make sure they match

I was following the elitemod jtag tut. I didn't see anything on xell.bin

I dumped the nand twice and then flashed and that was it. Did I miss a step? Yes it's E79

Xell is what you use to get your CPU key, downooad it from xbins. To see if its your JTAG wiring that is causing the issue flash xell instead of xbr, read it back one and compare your dump with the original xell.bin you downloaded. If you get a blue screen with lots of writing, your jtag wirings good. Ill bet money its that damn db1f1 point.

You will not need to flash either your config or kv to the xell flash.

Hope this helps.

I'm using the 360nandflasher usb tool. I would assume this is on my module c. I did download the one for a xenon board I thought last night. How do I flash the xell.bin?

Please note, the commands here assume you are using USB (which you mentioned) & a 16MB NAND. Let me know if you have different and I will alter the commmands for you

Download xell from /XBOX 360/development/free60/images/ @xbins, make sure you get the correct version for your drive revision. Rename it to Xell.bin for simplicitys sake, at your DOS prompt type ...

nandpro.exe usb: -w16 Xell.bin (as you are using USB)

then

nandpro.exe usb: -r16 Xell2.bin

then compare the 2 (Xell.bin & Xell2.bin) to see if they match (I use total commander). If they match, then boot your xbox and you should see this screen (taken from JPizzles guide @ elitemodscene)

If you see this screen then you wirings good and you know the problem is with your NAND flashing, if not the its your JTAG wiring (prolly db1f1 like i said earlier)

Good luck!

Write the xbr.bin to your NAND then inject kv.bin, i have never needed my config.bin

Did you try xell?

guess I am confused. Both nand and nand to are match. But xell.bin and xell2.bin do not. Am I missing something?

I flashed the orig.bin back and now the console boots. Does that mean my wiring is fine?

You left the jtag wires on after flashing the nand, right? If you flash the nand with xbr and then remove the jtag you'll get an e79.

Ok, if your jtag is still intact and you can dump/write just fine, then I'd imagine it's an xbr error. Double check that you did write your key and config to xbr. Also, you did verify the cb as exploitable?

I tested the diodes with a multimeter and they are either bad or something else is wrong. The diodes are built on the board. I'm going to de-solder those and solder some radio shack ones and see what happens. Yes it's exploitable. This was the blades dash.

did you check db1f1, us one of the alertate points to make sure youve got a good solder on the JTAG wiring. This point has got me multiple times.

do you have a pic? Not sure where this one is. Also I would think if the diodes were working, then my orig.bin would still E79 but it boots

No, your orig will still boot with the JTAG wiring intact, just wont boot the other way round.

DB1F1 is the mofo on the left

Make sure you have a good solder point by testing with a multimeter against one of the alternates. Most common one shown in the pic below. Im convinced its this point thats your problem.

Here is how I set it up (bump thread). Not pretty but should get the job done. Diodes have the black line facing the hole. Correct?
