[Sorry for opening two same threads]
FAT PSP 1002
Custom FireWare 5.50 GEN-b (FULL)
Playing Final Fantasy Dissidia halfway thru
How it happen:
Was playing my psp halfway and decided to take a rest and i switched it off(stand by mode). After awhile, I turned on my psp and it black out. According to the youtube videos, my psp is fulled bricked coz I can't even enter to the recovery mode, but then, after i removed my battery and charge it with the AC adpator, my psp works perfectly fine like normal, just that, without the battery.

Did my psp really bricked? Or does the problem lies within the battery? How to solve the problem? Will buying a new battery help?

Please help me, thanks in advance.

If it works without the battery then your PSP is not bricked as far as I know(Someone PLEASE correct me if I am wrong), the only thing you can do is buy a new battery and proceed stead-forth from there. If you decide to buy a new battery and the problem persists, contact me at quenton444@live.com and I'll try to help you from there.

Hi there. If you can play your psp it is not bricked. I suppose the problem is that your battery is in the so called "service mode". That mode forces psp do not load from eeprom but from your memorystick. N\There are several programs to convert your battary to normal mode. If i am not mistaken you can also do in recovery menu, but i am not sure.
