I need some help, ive got a slim ps3 120GB that boots up to the dashboard but the blueray drive wont accept discs you hear arough sound inside but it ejects and accepts discs, so i have another one that gives no audio or video but accepts and ejects discs and you could hear it reading normally so i might end up taking the blue ray drive out of the no video and putting it on the one that can't play discs, i know how to open them and the drives easily but do i need to switch over the controller chip or just the laser assembly for it to work on the other PS3? Any tips or advice would be awesome thanks.

aren't either of them in warranty ?
No even though they are like 2 months old from manufacture date 2010 i didn't get these at a store i got them bulk customer returns from a warehouse they where cheap and in the original box and complete so i bought like 10. 6 i got to work just by reformatting the drives using a usb flash drive, 2 have clicking hard drives & no video and 2 have disc reading problems.

The clicking ones can be replaced and the video will come back. The disc reading issues are the ones that need replacing, which is easy.
