PSP Update error

I was logging on to the psn on my psp and it says I need to update it. I go to update psp since I have CFW it only updates the psp CFW not with the sony servers update. I am running CFW 5.00 M33-6.

I get this message "Connection to the server failed. A DNS error has occurred. (80410414)"

1) What does this mean?
2) I have never tried logging on to the psn on my psp but is that something you can do even with CFW on the psp?
3) I have a fat psp1001

that means you cannot log on to psn using CFW, the psn looks for the most up to date firmware you do not have it. small price to pay, run CFW and give up the psn.
